Terms of Participation

Purpose & Acknowledgment

Field15 is committed to fostering an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and safe for everyone. These Terms of Participation outline our expectations for behavior and provides a framework for resolving issues that arise.

By participating in Field15 programs and events, you agree to abide by these Terms of Participation. Let’s work together to build a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone.

Scope

These Terms of Participation apply to all participants in Field15 programs and events, including but not limited to:

• Team members
• Collaborators
• Presenters
• Event attendees
• Online community participants (forums, chats, etc.)

Expected Behavior

Participants are expected to:

1. Be Respectful — Treat everyone with respect, regardless of their background, experience, or perspective.
2. Foster Inclusivity — Strive to create a welcoming environment by being inclusive and supportive.
3. Communicate Constructively — Use constructive feedback and seek to understand different viewpoints.
4. Follow Rules and Guidelines — Abide by all organizational policies, event-specific rules, and applicable laws.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable and will not be tolerated:

• Accessing or sharing private information without consent
• Bullying (cyber and otherwise)
• Harassment
• Hate speech
• Intentionally disruptive behavior
• Personal attacks
• Threats

Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience behavior that violates these Terms of Participation:

• Contact the Trust and Safety Team at trust@field15.com.
• Alternatively, you can submit an anonymous Terms of Participation violation report.

Enforcement

Violations of these Terms of Participation will be taken seriously and will be reviewed thoroughly by the Trust and Safety Team. Should the Trust and Safety Team pursue actions in response to the report, those actions may include but are not limited to any or all of:

• A verbal or written warning
• Temporary or permanent removal from Field15 events
• Escalation to the appropriate legal authorities

Appearance Release

You agree that Field15 may record your participation in any program or event. Field15 will own the copyright in such recording, and will forever have the irrevocable right to use the recording in any media (whether now known or hereafter devised), in connection with the promotion, distribution, and all other types of exploitation, of the recording, Field15, and its products or services. You waive all claims you may have arising from the creation and use of the recording and your appearance therein, including without limitation, claims based upon intellectual property infringement, defamation, invasion of privacy, rights of publicity.

Governing Law

These Terms of Participation and your participation in all Field15 programs and events are governed by the laws of Rhode Island. Any disputes between us that cannot be resolved within 30 days through good-faith negotiations shall be brought in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Providence, Rhode Island.
